Hello again,
Three posts in one week. (I will wait for you all to pick yourselves up off the ground)
Littlest bro, Aaron, has been sick and in the hospital again. Please pray for him to get better and back on his feet. He is feeling better, so hope he keeps getting stronger from here.
Jeff starts school on Monday. Pray for him too, he teaches Jr. high kids.
more later

I have returned!!!
For all you negative Nellie's out there who doubted I would ever blog again, you were WRONG!!!
Here I am. Better late than never. Get over it.
What has happened, you ask, since my last post? So much.
1) Mom and I went to Clown Jam in Branson, Missouri. It was awesome! We were there for five days, met some awesome people, and learned a lot. A man named Jim Howle designed a new clown face for me, and I love it. He was awesome, I do believe I have a clown crush on him!
Mom also had her face designed. I think she turned out super cute.
Like I said, I met some awesome people. Tom King is the new president of Clowns of America International (COAI). He was funny and nice. Here is my picture with him. I am hobknobbing with the big guys now!
I also took a face painting class, and loved it. I am going to try to get some face painting gigs here in Joe town. I have been practicing a lot since then. If any of you need any face painting done for any event, call me. I would love to help.
Here are a few other fun pics from Clown Jam. There are way to many to share to give you the full effect of all the fun we had!

2) Jeff's sister got married. Jenny married John Adrianse on August 2, 2008 in Des Moines, Iowa. It was a beautiful wedding. Jeff and I were readers and cord sponsors. I would post pictures, but I cannot find where Jeff saved them to on the computer. As soon as I find them, I will post them. The whole weekend was amazing. I love all of Jeff's family, and we are very lucky to add John to our ranks. Jeff's lolo and lola also had a celebration for their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, August 3rd. On our way home that night, I told Jeff I was too old to party like a rock star anymore.
3) Last Sunday, I went peach and blackberry picking with my friend Paula, and her sons L and B. It was so much fun, and I got soooo sunburned. Check out the pics.

4) This past weekend, I saw my best friend, Sarah, and her son/my godson, B. It was so good to see them. I cannot believe how big he is getting! He will be five months old this week.
5) In case I don't post in the next week or so, there are some birthdays of some very important people. I want to give a shout out to them, to wish them a Happy, Happy Birthday to: Paula, her son B., Sarah, and my Mom! I love you guys!
Sorry there is no fiber related content. I will try harder for next time.
Till next time,
Amber

OMG
OMG, it has been sooooo long since I last posted! No, I did not fall off of the face of the earth, just been busy. Where should I start....... (This is going to be a picture heavy post. Consider yourself warned.)
Well, we celebrated Gram's birthday. I won't release her age, but I am going to put her pic on the blog.

Then came the Coleman Hawkins Jazz Festival here in the good ol' St. Joe. The hubby and I went with some friends. There was knitting involved.

Shortly after that, Mom, Dad, Jeff, and I went to the Kansas City Zoo one Friday evening. My mom (the luckiest woman ever born) won tickets to this "after hours" party. We had dinner and saw the animals.
Alpaca Llama When goats attack.....

Wow, then what........
Elvis came to the Missouri Veterans Home!
It was awesome! The residents loved it. There was a resident who is not very alert or active. When Elvis performed, this resident sang along, danced in his chair, clapped, and cried. It was truly amazing. Moments like that are why I do my job.
And then we went to Columbia, Mo for my godson's baptism. I spent a few days down there, and it was AWESOME! I truly have the greatest friends ever.

July 7th, was my friends' one year wedding anniversary!!! They went out to dinner, and let me stay home with B! Happy Belated Anniversary guys! Here's to many more! As you can see from the last two pics, we had a great time!!!
And, last but not least, I finished the socks today!!!! I was so excited!

That is an update to my last few weeks. In the upcoming week, I am going to ClownJam with my mom in Branson, MO. I am excited and nervous. There will definitely be some interesting pics to post when I get back.

Congradulations are due!!!
I know that I have been behind in my blogging, and I have one in the wings. However, I had to jump in quick to tell the world my brother, Adam, passed his Paramedic test!!!!!!!! I am so freaking proud of him. I won't share the details, but it was a long road for him. I cried when he told me. Good going, little brother. You are well on your way to changing the world!

What's Up, Buttercup?
Some pretty exciting times here at the ol' homestead.
First up, I got my hair cut. I had 12 inches cut off. Here is the end result:
I LOVE IT! I was using my old hair as a "security blanket". I more or less hid behind it. It was hot, heavy, and too much, and I was DONE!!!!! I went with my friend Paula from work, and cut it off. It feels so nice, light. The hairstylist straitened it for me, but it is naturally wavy. Now, the waves come out, and it looks cool. I actually look semi grown up now.
As I promised last time, here is the knitting content. I am working on my next pair of socks.
The yarn is Opal sock yarn. I don't remember the exact color number, but it is from the Dream catcher line. The pattern is "Classy Slip-Up" from Knit Socks! by Betsy Lee McCarthy. It has been really easy to follow. I have knit other socks from this book before, and it has been user friendly. I recommend it.
I was going to take more pics of the gardens, but it is raining. Those will have to wait until next time. I did plant a couple rows of corn today. I have never grown corn, so I am excited to see how it turns out. My tomatillo plant has blossoms on it already. Cool.
I have come to a place in my life. I am in a rut that I don't know how to get out of. I need something different, new, challenging. I don't know. I am looking, but I don't know for what. We will see. Stay tuned for updates.
And of course, the gratuitous cat shots.

Happy Birthday Little Brother!
To start this post off, my brother Adam's birthday is on Tuesday! He is going to be 25. I cannot believe that my brother is 25! Crazy. We got together as a family this afternoon to celebrate. Here are some pics to share the joy.
On a side note: He is a fireman, and I am so freakin' proud of him.
Next, and update on the garden. My climbing rose bush is beautiful.

My awesome friends Paula and Jacob, and their boys L. and B. showed up Saturday morning with a load of dirt for the raised boxes. Not only did they transport it over an hour, they helped set up the boxes and unload the dirt. What did they charge, you ask? Lunch. These are truly awesome people. When friends like this come around, you don't let them go. Thanks guys!

To end, here are some gratuitous cat shots:
